MY STORY: HANNAH
It’s hard for me to think of my surgery as a cosmetic procedure, because it’s meant so much more to me than how I look. This surgery has changed the way I feel about myself, my confidence and how I feel in my physical state. Since my surgery, I wake up and I want to move and be active. I enjoy exercise in a way I’ve never been able to before. Prior to my surgery, the idea of exercise was something I dreaded – a chore I was uninterested in completing. Now I look forward to going to yoga or taking my dog on a walk. I chose to go forward with cosmetic surgery to have the opportunity to of a healthier and more comfortable life in my thirties and beyond. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and I am thankful every day that I had my surgery.

I chose Charlotte Plastic Surgery based on a number of recommendations. My PCP suggested I look at CPS as well as other medical professionals my family has connections with. The messages we received about CPS and the level of skill, integrity, artistry, and professionalism made it a clear decision to go there for my surgery. The results I saw from CPS were exactly what I had been dreaming about. After much research online and with other local doctors, CPS was the best option.
I emailed CPS through the website to set up a consultation and was connected with my doctor. With such advanced education and experience, I was ecstatic that he would be performing my surgery. My husband, parents and I were more than confident that this was the perfect doctor for me from our very first meeting. The doctor and nurse both treated me like they knew me, and more importantly like they respected and cared for me. We talked about my hopes for the future, my dissatisfaction with the present, and how we would make my hopes a reality. I felt validated and heard from my initial consultation, which is something you do not find often. One of the things I appreciated most was that my doctor seemed interested in me as a person and my life. He took a personal approach; asking about my job, hobbies and family. This built the level of trust I needed to feel safe and ready for my procedure.
Looking back, I know that it took me almost ten years to get this surgery done for a reason. Things worked out so it was the right place and the right time for me at CPS.
