After reviewing the consent order that was submitted to the court, and to which Dr. Cook entered voluntarily, Dr. Nyame expressed his concerns. He further explained that the proper procedures include proper training and the administering of anesthesia by an anesthesiologist. A prospective patient can verify a physician’s credentials on the Medical Board’s website. It is of paramount importance that if you are considering cosmetic surgery, you thoroughly check the credentials of your physician, visit the facility where your procedure will be performed, and meet with your physician, asking all questions until you feel comfortable with both the physician, the staff, and the procedure.
